About us 

Sea Star Psychology provides neuroaffirming cognitive, psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.  We provide mobile services across the northern Brisbane suburbs, and telehealth assessments Australia wide.  We consider every individual to be unique, with their own special strengths and interests, and aim to make a difference by providing convenient home and school based assessment services.

Susan is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist who holds a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) from the Queensland University of Technology.  Susan is passionate about supporting individuals across the lifespan with their personal, educational, or occupational learning needs.  Susan's interest in supporting individuals across the lifespan stems from her experience working in early intervention, special and inclusive education, supporting families and young people with diverse abilities.  She co-authored a published peer reviewed journal article during her honours degree research project, exploring alexithymia and mood states, and facial recognition of emotions in self and others: available to read here.

Susan has practiced across Brisbane primary and secondary schools, university clinics, the Queensland Children's Hospital, and private practice settings.  She is an official Pearson Examiner and has been involved in the Pearson Clinical Assessment standardisation research project that assessed updated cognitive, memory, and daily living skill assessments in people aged 16 to 90 years.

Susan currently works in private practice providing assessment services.  She has special interests in providing diagnostic, psychoeducational, and neurodiversity affirming assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.  Susan provides comprehensive assessment services for the following:
